These terms and conditions apply to all cakes designed, booked, and purchased from Dianne’s Kake Shoppe. After a deposit is made, clients are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
ORDERS
Orders are confirmed only upon receipt of a 40% non refundable deposit. We do not accept any changes to orders the week that the order is due.
Payment Schedule:
Initial Deposit 40% (Non refundable)
Weddings – Balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event.   Balance is due upon delivery/receipt for all other cakes..
1. CANCELLATIONS will not be accepted on orders due the same week, and Dianne’s Kake Shoppe reserves the right to refuse to refund additional payment made on the order.
2.  In the event of a cancellation (with the exception of wedding cakes), either by text, phone or email notification of no later than one week  prior to the scheduled pickup/delivery date will not be entertained.
3.  CANCELLATIONS of wedding cakes require (1) month’s notice by email/text or directly speaking to a representative
ORDER AMOUNT.
If for any reason an event for which you made a deposit was cancelled, and we were not notified in advance as stated above, the client  is still responsible for full payment of such order.
CAKE PICKUP
Responsibility to refrigerate and preserve any and all items becomes that of the Customer once the item has been delivered, or picked up by you or your designate. You or your designate is responsible for handling the cake with care in transit to ensure that it arrives safely at your destination in the state is was picked up from us.
We highly recommend that you treat your CAKE PICKUP as an EXPRESS ERRAND and place the cake in a refrigerator (depending on the type of cake) as quickly as you can. Heat and Humidity have a negative effect on some cakes and their decorations. Place cake on a flat surface and drive with care – no sudden stops, taking corners at high speed, etc. After the cake is picked up, responsibility for the cake becomes yours or that of your designate.
INGREDIENTS
Our ingredients include flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, and fruits. Although we do not use nuts in our baking, we cannot guarantee that they are 100% nut-free. We advise those with serious nut allergies to advise us of such during consultation and if possible refrain from consuming our products.  We provide egg free and gluten free products, please feel free to discuss your preferences.
LIABILITY
Dianne’s Kake Shoppe is excited about the opportunity to provide excellent goods to our customers, but certain liabilities are out of the control of Dianne’s Kake Shoppe. Once any perishable item has been delivered to the Customer, it is no longer in the control of Dianne’s Kake Shoppe, and Customer acknowledges that responsibility to refrigerate and preserve any and all items becomes the sole responsibility of Customer once the item has been delivered to, or picked up, by the Customer. The customer, therefore, waives any and all liability claims against Dianne’s Kake Shoppe for any liability arising from a failure to properly preserve and maintain any perishable food item after it has been delivered/picked up by the Customer or their agent.
In the event that there is a delay, damage, or failure to deliver because of circumstances beyond the control of Dianne’s Kake Shoppe such as, but not limited to, sudden illness, fire, accident, weather, power failure, etc., under no circumstances shall Dianne’s Kake Shoppe be liable to the Customer for any loss or damage (direct, indirect, punitive, actual, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary or otherwise) in excess of the total monies received in connection with the Customer’s order.
